Kathleen A. Piperno
Kathleen A. Piperno was named partner in the firm in 2006. She focuses her practice in the areas of family law (divorce, property distribution, support, custody, pre-nuptial agreements), adoption, step-parent adoption, and termination of parental rights. She serves as an Arbitrator for the Delaware County Bar Association. She is a member of the Delaware County Bar Association.
Raised in Philadelphia, Kathy graduated from Robert E. Lamberton High School in 1982 and was a member of the National Honor Society. She was a member of the softball team and student government. Kathy then attended Harcum Junior College and earned an Associates Degree in Retail Merchandising in 1984. After a successful career in retail merchandising , Kathy enrolled in Golden Gate University in San Francisco and earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business and Humanities in 1991. In 1992, while working as a legal secretary, Kathy attended Widener University School of Law in the 4-year evening program where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society and President of the Justinian Society. She earned a Juris Doctor in 1996.
After practicing as a personal injury attorney, Kathy became an Assistant Public Defender for the County of Delaware in 1999 and subsequently joined The Firm in 2002. She is married and is the mother of one child. Kathy has led the Firm to focus on children's charities.
